Ethiopia’s government may declare a state of emergency, a day after the country’s prime minister resigned, the Addis Standard reported.
The declaration will be made on Friday morning to stabilize the country’s volatile security situation, the news website said, citing a person it didn’t identify. The measures are likely to be similar to those imposed in October 2016, when parts of the Horn of Africa nation’s constitution were suspended for nine months, it said.
