U.S. Ally Ethiopia Sees Relations Unaffected by Trump Presidency

Ethiopia, a U.S. aid recipient and key ally in the fight against Islamist militants in East Africa, doesn’t expect a change in the two nations’ relations under Donald Trump’s presidency, its communications minister said.
The “relationship we have is historical and there is a strong bond,” Negeri Lencho told reporters Friday in Ethiopia’s capital, Addis Ababa. There is no reason the relations will be affected by “the change of government in Washington,” he said.
